Beer is one of the world’s oldest prepared beverages, possibly dating back to the early neolithic period. It was first recorded in written history of ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. And the earliest chemical evidence of beer dates to around 3500 BC, found in a prehistoric settlement in western Iran. But in Brooklyn, beer lovers have been lining up at the Brooklyn Brewery since it opened its doors in 1987 and on Saturdays you can take the tour and try six brews for 20 bucks. Don’t forget to taste the one aged in a whiskey barrel. OMG. OMG. OMG.
