Smore, pistachio, cookies and cream, peanut butter and jelly, girl scout cookies. These are just a few of the totall outrageous cannolis we encountered at STUFFED ARTISAN CANNOLIS on the lower east side. Started by the cutest couple ever, the biz began with a street cart on Mulberry….guess it went pretty well, because they opened up their shop on Stanton St last year and the chaotic world of the cannoli has never, ever been the same.
That said, you may or may not know by now, but I am VERY territorial when it comes to Italian cuisine. Back in the day, Ive been known to break up with boys for even buying cilantro at the same time as parsley. And i might cut you if you actually put it in my pasta or on my pizza (i’ve boycotted california pizza kitchen for years for that very reason).
SO. I was totally and utterly SHOCKED that i loved these. Am i weakening with age? Or were they just THAT GOOD? You be the judge. And if the Toni On! sticker is NOT in the window….tell ‘em to put it up! xo t
