Doyers Vietnamese!!!
If you want to seek out the city’s best spring rolls, well, then you have to head to this funky street in Chinatown. Doyers St is a windy little road, and at the bend you will spot a staircase that will take you underground to Doyer’s Vietnamese. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME! You want to blow your friends away or out of town guests away with your ’secret’ find, this is it! Everything is delish, but the rolls are a must….with mint, a pickled carrot or cucumber (which sounded gross to me, but WAS NOT!) wrapped in lettuce dipped in fish sauce. HEAVEN!!!! Heaven here on earth on Doyer’s St!

What is the proper way that your friend suggest to eat these spring rolls? Are you supposed to take some lettuce, place mint on top of that, then a slice of carrot, then a slice of cucumber, and finally the spring roll, wrapping the lettuce around and then finally dipping in the sauce?
yes! exactly!
